Ladybug Jane is the brainchild of Jane May Graves – scientist and actress. The Ladybug Jane character was inspired from a dream Jane had when her mom was diagnosed with stage 4 Cancer.

Her mom’s diagnosis inspired Jane to research the link between the environment, chemicals, and disease. She soon discovered the rampant use of toxic chemicals, bee-harming ingredients in 99% of all lip balms on the market.

When she found out what was hiding in lip products she couldn’t find one that healed her dry lips, and was made with only pure, and vegan ingredients, and also tasted good.

All she could find at the store was lip products containing petroleum and, or beeswax. She didn’t like this because both ingredients are not environmentally friendly, and cause since petroleum and beeswax are hydrophobic- meaning they repel water of skin and services.
